Dr. Paul Schroeder, DC

Curriculum Vitae

Personal History

Dr. Paul Schroeder is a third generation Doctor of Chiropractic with three grandparents, both parents, and all five siblings who have earned Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. Dr. Paul's family is known throughout the chiropractic field as being the "Largest Chiropractic Family in the World" (The information has been submitted to Guiness World Records). The Schroeder-Molthen Family of Chiropractors numbers in the seventies with the fourth generation now practicing. It is the largest professionaly family in the world. Dr. Paul's mother, Rita Molthen Schroeder, DC, practiced for 42 years as a chiropractor, and served as President of Western States Chiropractic College (now Life Chiropractic College) in the San Francisco bay area in the 1970's.  Dr. Paul's maternal grandmother and grandfather, both received their Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from Palmer in 1918. Dr. Paul's grandfather traveled to Japan before World War II to answer a call for a healer to cure the emperor of his headaches, and was later taken as a prisoner of war in Japan. It was later said that he took care of other prisoners and captors using his chiropractic skills. An article in Dynamic Chiropractic declared him to be a "War Hero".  Dr. Paul's paternal grandfather received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Columbia Chiropractic College in 1923 and because Chiropractic was an unlicensed profession in New York at the time, he was one of the many chiropractors who were jailed for practicing medicine without a license.

Upon Dr. Paul's birth, Cleveland Chiropractic College bestowed upon him an honorary scholarship to attend chiropractic school when he became of age. When Dr. Paul was a child, his parents would attend chiropractic seminars in different cities and he would sneak into the seminars to learnn as much as possible. As an older child, Paul would walk from neighborhood to neighborhood passing out flyers asking people to vote for the inclusion of chiropractic care into health insurance coverage. Dr Paul always knew that being a chiropractor was his calling.
